It changed hands several times until it was converted into a “summer guest house” known as Pleasant Manor in the early 1920s – in fact, Amelia Earhart and her mother were guests at the inn in 1923. It operated as an inn for many years and it became the Hotel Marblehead in 2011 when the property was updated in a nautical, mid-century modern style to pay homage to its historical past while offering today’s guests a comfortable, modern boutique stay experience.
